My Story

The story is about me, an IT system admin who wants more than just working a job and being complacent. I have the desire to get better, learn more, and build my own legacy. Growing up in Mississippi, all I knew was that the goal was to go to school and get a good job. But life teaches you a lot.

You experience new places, cultures, histories, and many things you didn’t have access to before—or didn’t think about. You also learn about yourself. You figure out who you are and who you are not. You see your ambitions and your mindset evolving. You learn what it takes to achieve success.

You feel that what you have isn’t enough and sense the potential God instilled in you. You acknowledge that some of your long-standing habits don't necessarily help you succeed. You realize how urgent it is to accomplish more. Sometimes, it takes a complete overhaul to figure out how to elevate to the next level.

You notice the types of conversations that energize and excite you, and the ones that seem pointless. I want to challenge myself by setting new goals. I believe I can take the effort I’ve put into IT for years and apply it to something I believe in, something that gives me purpose, something that is mine and that I can build.

No matter the goal, the main factor is the effort you put in. That’s what distinguishes the results. More important than the results are the experiences gained along the way. Each day is an opportunity to be intentional and consistent in getting better and seeing where that takes me!
